The kitchen spans the original part of the house with the later extension. We’ve knocked through the kitchen (new extension), breakfast room (original kitchen) and the little foyer which was probably the old back door, though interestingly, our neighbours told us there was originally a beautiful stained glass door there, there’s also an ornately tiled floor (sadly under concrete in our case) which seems at odds with a ‘tradesmen’ entrance.
